About Dr Hilary Dyer
Dr Hilary Dyer FRSA is a Consultant Educational Psychologist specialising in Autism and PDA. She works in private practice near Worcester, and assesses children and young people from 3 to 19 years old across the country. Prior to this, Dr Dyer had a successful academic career, as a Senior Lecturer in Special Educational Needs and Developmental Psychology at several UK Universities including The Open University, and the universities of Birmingham City, Northampton and Bolton. She also held a Readership in Social Research Methods in Surrey, and a Research post at the University of Bangor, Wales.
For the first decade of her career, Hilary taught in a number of special and primary schools.
Hilary is currently writing chapters for her book ‘New Insights into Pathological Demand Avoidance Syndrome’, which has an expected publication date of late 2018.
